Hi, my name is Brian Aylwin and I am the founder of ASEM. 

For years I dreamt of running my own successful business - not just to earn, but to build something meaningful. I didn’t want to just make money; I wanted to add value to people’s lives.

I stepped away from the corporate grind as COO because even at the “top,” I didn’t feel successful. Something was missing.

So I did something unexpected… I became a trade apprentice.

The goal? To understand the trades from the ground up. To feel what they feel. I started over -literally,with R0. No savings. No fallbacks. No car payments. No credit card debt. I moved into a room at a mate’s house and gave up everything that didn’t serve the mission. This was the only way I could truly build something that matters.

Under the guidance of an incredible mentor, I didn’t just learn a trade, I learned how to deliver real, honest, quality work. That experience shaped my vision for a new kind of business.

That’s how ASEM Projects was born.

I don’t have employees - I have partners. We run projects together, 50/50. I bring in the work, manage operations, and mentor tradesmen on customer service, business skills, and financial literacy so they can eventually stand on their own. Empowerment through partnership.
